CULOTTES MADE THE CUT THIS WINTER

Happy New year everyone and how are you all doing. Fancy going Internet blind for the whole of last year to this year. I wonder what the universe is trying to tell me. How are you all doing this beautiful month of January ( seriously is it 😕).

So, guys, I was surprised when I saw that we could flaunt culottes this winter? Now that is a fashion statement in my book. Not only are culottes not the perfect winter outfit, but they're also usually light fabric and have too much room. With freezing temperatures that is one dare that I'm sure many people won't want to take, but also fashion buffs told us that it is possible and I'm here for it. So yes, culottes made it this winter.

You could pair them with tights underneath and a pair of ankle boots + turtleneck long-sleeved body and of course a fur coat- super chic OR you could be daring go without the tights, wear a pair of beautiful nude stilettos ( they are the most perfect shoe accessory) + an oversized sweater and a wrap. You could also go the Victoria Beckham route ( I adore her by the way) with a camel coat + ankle boots, envelope bag+ turtleneck body. I realized anyway you decide to wear culottes,  it will still come out looking like something from vogue and I'm sold. Seriously guys, I am. This is the first time I have really appreciated something which seems only spring/summer appropriate expand my wardrobe choices because truth be told the struggle to be chic in winter is real.

HOW WOULD YOU LOVE TO STYLE YOURS ? WHAT ARE YOUR FASHION STRUGGLES IN THE WINTER?

In today's post, I styled it with last year's oversized sweater and open toe booties which I got from Besson chaussures ( y'all know I love to buy local, right?) I opted out of tights as it wasn't so cold that day and the shoes were so comfortable.  That's a first for me for a shoe that high. I loved those booties the instant I saw them cos of all that glitter hehe. I went further with a hat, I just had to, love them to bits and I keep buying them I don't just quit. They're chic, class, fun you name it.

So tell me what you think in the comment section and I'll see you all on your numerous blogs.

Xoxo

  2. I love culottes for winter! Where I live it doesn't get too cold in winter so this is very much doable. I also love the touch of glam with the sparkle on those boots. Gorgeous!

  6. I like how you styled these culottes with an oversized green sweater and heeled boots. I also like the brooch you wore. This is a very stylish combo.
I can definitely see myself wearing culottes in winter. I sometimes also wear shorts and capri jeans in winter but I make sure to pair them with tights and boots- that way I'm sure I will be warm enough.

  9. Those long shorts look great on you but the sequin boots are my favourite - they are such a fun addition to your outfit! I can't often wear shorts in winter but I do try on the slightly warmer days :)

    Hope you're having a great weekend :)
