BANANA PANTS - THESE PANTS THO......

If you know me you know that when it comes to tapered pants or Banana pants, I'm team #ME all the way.
How are you all doing guys, it's awesome being back. The transition is still gradual though. Stick around and follow me on Instagram as I'll be updating you guys on where I've been all this while.

I think over time we've seen the tapered pants evolve from the simplest to the most complicated. This fashion trend which started in the 80's  otherwise known as Banana pants ( my gawd, who would have thought I would be honouring 80's fashion trend? (It was never my fav era) has held me spell bound especially because of the illusion it gives the body. These pants are usually characterised by a wide trouser legs and narrowed at the bottom.

This trend has been on our fashion runways this spring/summer and designers did not fail to deliver. It comes in plaids or checks, leather you name it. Mine came with an elastic waist band and belt loops and narrowed at the bottom with elastic as well. Gosh the fit of these pants I can't deal. It was like it was made for me to perfection.

I snagged this piece from Mango and let me tell you guys, that store is the real deal. Their pieces are quite good quality for the prices and while everyone is running to Zara to snag a piece of something, I would readily breeze into Mango and lose myself there ( I cannot come and go and kee myself)

I decided to combine mine with this lovely satin silk top in grey and added colour with that green pastel belt which I will be rocking till it begs me to allow it die and it actually inspired my eyeshadow  colour for this look. I decided to go with these nude pumps by BCBG styled here, here, here and here and nude bucket bag from Cherry Paris.

You could style this pants with a very colourful floral shirt or blouson, go risqué with an oversized debardeur and layered jewelry. The possibilities are endless.
